Alexis Shattuck
Writer. Outdoorswoman. Nurse. Traveler.
Not fitting into one lane seemed easier than pretending I did.
About Lex.
Somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn’t meant to fit into one identity.
I loved the outdoors. I loved wellness. I loved writing, traveling, storytelling, capturing moments — and for a while, I thought I had to choose which version of myself made the most sense.
Turns out, forcing myself into one lane felt a lot worse than just admitting I wanted a life that didn’t fit neatly into a box.
So this became the space where all of it could exist together.
The outdoors. Reinvention. Mental health. Travel. Creativity. Slowing down. Starting over. Building a life that actually feels like mine instead of one that just looks good on paper.
I’m still figuring out a lot of it as I go — but I finally realized you don’t have to have it all figured out to start living.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind…”
